Minos Ambassador Suites & Spa hotel has been in operation since 2022.
It is located on a sloped plot of 3,420 m² in Rethymno, approximately 150 meters from the sea, with a view toward it. It is the most recent, adults-only addition to the owner's three hotel units.
The hotel consists of three building volumes, set at different levels due to the sloping terrain. It has a total of 51 rooms.
Starting from the northern side (facing the sea), the first volume consists of three floors with 11 rooms; on the rooftop there is a swimming pool with sunbed area. The pool is 17 meters long, and its northern side partially cantilevers beyond the building and features a glass panel, offering an uninterrupted view even from within the water and a feeling of merging with the sea on the horizon. A second pool will be designed on the ground floor, with direct access to the garden.
The second volume has four floors with 16 rooms and includes shared functions such as a restaurant and bar on the rooftop. This creates a space for dining and relaxation; mainly because the surrounding outdoor area is not used by guests, so all common areas were essentially elevated to the rooftop.
The third volume, also four stories tall, consists of 24 rooms. On the ground floor of this building is the hotel’s main entrance, the reception area, offices, and a multipurpose hall.
All rooms have sea view from their balconies as well as from within, due to their orientation. The three volumes are vertically connected by staircases and horizontally unified through two basement levels.
At the northern, lower part of the plot, a garden is laid out. From this point begins the pedestrian access from the street, consisting of stairs with wide landings, ramps, and multi-level flower beds, all forming an “internal” green sidewalk that runs parallel to the street.
A central plaza was designed with unobstructed access for people with disabilities, offering connection to all areas of the hotel.
The project was executed with high construction and material standards.
Another unique feature of the hotel is that it connects via an elevated pedestrian bridge in an "S" shape to the adjacent hotel, also owned by the same proprietor, Minos Hotel to the west. The bridge ensures safe passage without crossing the street, and is 24.00 meters in length.
