Designing and delivering high-quality buildings both in Greece and abroad
Each project relies on a poetic conception to inform the design and to displace the banal and the conventional.
WOBI Architects is an architecture practice working across hospitality, residential, and commercial projects, operating from a stable methodological core while remaining open in its outcomes.
Architecture begins with a careful reading of context, from site and program to operational conditions. Analysis informs spatial strategies that combine conceptual clarity, functional performance, and construction intelligence through the coordination of spatial, technical, and operational parameters. The practice remains engaged across all stages, from concept to construction, ensuring that design intent is carried through with precision.
The portfolio ranges from private residences to large-scale resorts, with a consistent focus on spaces that perform, endure, and remain relevant over time. Indicative projects include Rocca A Mare A Handwritten Collection, Cayo Exclusive Resort and Spa 5* in Crete, Off the Grid 5* Mountain Hotel in Evoia, Noemie Suites in Himare Albania and Apartments in Politeia Athens.
A Legacy Designed for the Future
Founded by Nic Hatziyiannakis in 2016, whilst Vassia Stylianidi joined later on, WOBI’s culture is rooted in an architectural environment that valued abstraction, locality, and technical precision.
WOBI’s formative influences include practices that shaped contemporary architectural discourse, from Greece, Australia and UK. From these foundations, we developed an independent studio model characterized by layered methodologies and broad typological experience.
Over time, our work has been shaped by collaborations with private clients, developers, and multinational organizations. This experience has strengthened the studio’s ability to deliver projects across scales.
Concept
For a building or development plan to succeed, it's crucial to decide on the initial uses and set clear financial, social, and ecological goals. Success on the initial design level leads to financial sustainability, while neglecting the design phase will result in greater time and money spent on resolving future issues.
Design
Our buildings are truly one-of-a-kind, reflecting the unique vision of each client and the natural environment. They are constructed with a strong sense of purpose, preserving human qualities in scale, material, and shape, while also embracing vibrant color and natural light.
Quality
Our practice consistently delivers high-quality buildings through rigorous technical training, close cooperation with competent advisors, extensive research on materials and new technologies, and continuous on-site supervision during construction. Our unwavering goal is to produce buildings with enduring quality.
